Daisy, daisy
My sister asked me to make a quilt for her friend’s mother. The recipient loves daisies, and my sister had in mind two things (which both immediately leapt to my mind as well when she said “daisy” and “quilt”).
One is this quilt, which hangs on my wall at home:
This quilt was made from a Country Threads pattern. The only thing I changed was to make my own letters, I didn’t care for the font they used on theirs, I thought this curly one suited my style better.
The other thing she requested was that I utilize this fabric somehow:

(It was designed by Buggy Barn and in case you can’t tell, it has the words to the song “Daisy” printed on it).
She wanted the quilt to be lap-size, and I just started playing with strips and blocks and ideas and daisies and words and:
(The Daisy fabric is used in the pinwheels and the background for the appliqued words).
I’m going to have a hard time sending it to her. And she’s going to have a hard time giving it away. I may have to make 2 more of these. It still needs to be quilted, which I hope to do soon…but first, I have to finish counting inventory and working on some other customer quilt projects.
But technically I’m on vacation until Monday, so really, my time is my own, right?
I’ll be sure to post pictures when I’m done quilting (and binding…)

[...] I’ll show you the picture of the quilt here, but if you want to know more about the quilt, you’ll have to go visit my other blog. [...]
Wow, it looks amazing. Did I say I was giving it away? I must have been mistaken. LOL. I think you are right, 2 more of these please!
That is a seriously CUTE quilt. I would have a hard time giving that one up too!
Adorable quilt. Personally, I love the earworms! It seems a lifetime since I’ve heard this song.
Love the quilt! How do I get a hold of your sister so I can have her request one for me too? LOL!
How cute, I love the quilt! It is so cheery!
